ผศ.ดร.พาณุวงศ์ คัมภิรารักษ์ มีประสบการณ์การทำงานทั้งในภาคเอกชนและภาครัฐ รวมกว่า 20 ปี ก่อนเปลี่ยนสายอาชีพมาเป็นบุคลากรทางการศึกษา ในตำแหน่งอาจารย์ประจำ สาขาบริหารการปฏิบัติการ (Operations Management) คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาตร์ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2558

นอกเหนือจากงานสอนและงานวิจัยแล้ว เคยดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ทดสอบทักษะด้านการจัดการแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ (SMART) เป็นคนสุดท้ายในช่วงมิถุนายน 2560 – พ.ศ.2562 ก่อนเปลี่ยนสถานะเป็นศูนย์ทดสอบสมรรถนะแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ (TCTC) และดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการคนแรกของศูนย์ทดสอบ TCTC จนถึงวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2562

ปัจจุบันได้รับมอบหมายจากท่านคณบดี รศ.ดร.รุธิร์ พนมยงค์ ให้เป็นผู้อำนวยการโครงการปริญญาโทด้านบริหารธุรกิจ ดูแลรับผิดชอบทั้งหลักสูตร MBA หลักสูตร MBA-HRM และหลักสูตร XMBA ในฐานะศิษย์เก่า MBA ธรรมศาสตร์ จึงมีความรัก และความมุ่งหวังที่จะผสานและรวบรวมทรัพยากร เครือข่าย และสรรพกำลังเพื่อยกระดับขีดความสามารถและคุณภาพของโครงการ และบ่มเพาะมหาบัณฑิตด้านบริหารธุรกิจของเราให้เป็นบุคลากรที่มีความสามารถและจริยธรรมสูงเพื่อรองรับภาคธุรกิจไทยและสากลอย่างยั่งยืน

ประสบการณ์นอกรั้วธรรมศาสตร์ เมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีในปี พ.ศ.2536 เลือกเป็นวิศวกรเป็นอาชีพแรก โดยทำงานในฝ่ายควบคุมการผลิต ของบริษัทผู้ผลิตรถยนต์รายใหญ่ที่สุดของประเทศไทย ต่อมาย้ายไปเป็นวิศวกรโครงการก่อสร้างโรงงานโลหกรรมแห่งหนึ่ง พร้อมๆกับการศึกษาต่อ MBA ที่คณะพาณิชยศาสตร์และการบัญชี มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2538 เมื่อเรียนจบ MBA แล้ว ได้สอบชิงทุนของสำนักงานคณะกรรมการข้าราชการพลเรือน (ทุน ก.พ.) ในความต้องการของกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อไปศึกษาต่อปริญญาโทด้านวิศวกรรมอุตสาหการ ณ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ University of Southern California ต่อมาได้บรรจุเป็นข้าราชการในตำแหน่งนักวิชาการมาตรฐาน สำนักงานมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม มีประสบการณ์การทำงานในภาครัฐกว่า 14 ปี ทั้งในด้านการกำหนดมาตรฐาน (standards development) การตรวจประเมินเพื่อให้การรับรองมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์ (product certification) การตรวจติดตามผลิตภัณฑ์ในตลาด (market surveillance) การตรวจประเมินระบบงาน (accreditation) รวมทั้งการมาตรฐานระหว่างประเทศ (international standardization)

Assistant Professor Dr. Panuwong Kumpirarusk had worked in private and public sectors for two decades before he changed his career to become a full-time lecturer for the Department of Operations Management, Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University on July 1, 2015.

Apart from teaching and research works at Thammasat University, he also served as director of test center. He could be recognized as the last director of the SMART Center during June 2017 – 2019 and the first director of the TCTC Center from mid of 2019 to December 15, 2019.

Presently, Associate Professor Dr.Ruth Banomyong, the Dean of Thammasat Business School, appoints him the MBA Director, accountable for MBA, MBA-HRM, and XMBA programs. As one of the MBA TU alumni, he commits to synergize resources, networks, and all endeavors in order to elevate the program capacity and quality as well as to produce highly ethical and competent graduates to serve Thai and global business sustainably.

He had great experiences outside the University. He got the bachelor of engineering in 1993 and started his first job as a production control engineer at the largest automobile maker of Thailand. In 1995 he moved to work as a project management engineer, supervising the construction of a metal plant. At that time, he also studied MBA at Thammasat Business School after work. He was granted a royal Thai Government scholarship to do the second master degree at Viterbi School of Engineering, the University of Southern California. In 2001, he came back from the United States and started his public service as a standards officer at the Thai Industrial Standards Institute, under the Ministry of Industry. He spent his 14 years to work in many core processes of the institute including standards development, product certification, market surveillance, accreditation, and international standardization.
